This holiday, I was fortunate enough to see my family after a long 6 months. They were able to meet baby Layla Fiona, and had a chance to feel her kick. I am becoming quite uncomfortable at times, but I can not complain about my apparel as a pregnant lady so far. I have been blessed with the opportunity to review and showcase an amazing cute and trendy maternity fashion company, Pink Blush Maternity. Pink Blush Maternity / Shop Pink Blush has sent me really cute maternity clothing, and I am so excited to share my first maternity fashion blog post with you! With the holidays, it’s hard to find something trendy that doesn’t look like everything else.. For example, not so much green, red, and “christmasy” colors.. I decided to go with a mustard yellow look. Most people believe mustard yellow is more fall, however with the weather here in New York, the environment still feels warm and fall like, so many of the trendy colors include the taupe, mustard yellow, browns and so forth. I chose to rock this adorable yellow button up 3/4 sleeve maternity top, which happens to be on SALE! Yes… I said ON SALE, for 24$ RIGHT NOW! If you’re looking for trendy, cute fashionable clothing head over to Pink Blush Maternity and they ALSO have Shop Pink Blush which is for people who do not want to shop maternity! They cater to us all 🙂 !!!!
Little words to explain why I wanted to write this post. Mainly because I was feeling my natural hair today, and felt like rocking a fro and decided to do a little mini shoot with my awesome new maternity shirt. This is my first maternity t-shirt, and besides it being really comfortable, it was super cute!
Baby Mama T-Shirt : Target
Make up was a mix of different drug store items
Hair: Went to bed with leave in conditioner in my hair, and then decided to use a wide toothed comb this morning just to comb it out.. and well, here it is 🙂
Layla Fiona, that is our beautiful bundle of joy that will be making her debut come April, 2016. This little girl is the reason why I decided to take part in a new business venture of blogging. Although I am a current amateur fashion blogger focusing on maternity, and pregnancy.. I believe this could be an awesome start to something new. When Layla arrives, the blog focus will change a bit to being about family, lifestyle and of course fashion with our little lady.
Origionally my close friends and family knew I was a bit upset because I wasn’t getting the “bump” that everyone else I knew was starting to get. They all told me to wait, it will just come over night… Well, they were right! Layla decided to just make an appearance randomly, when I least expected it and it made the wait that much more exciting. 🙂
Due to our little princess being on her way, I have been approached by some amazing maternity fashion apparel companies such as Pink Blush Maternity (huge maternity fashion apparel brand), that has decided to send me some awesome clothing to do a product review. After being contacted by them, I started to recieve more inquiries about product review and social media marketing for different apparel companies and accessories, which is why I decided to start blogging.
With all my love, I have to give thanks to this precious little one on her way, that has given me the opportunity to learn a little bit more about the bloggers world.
We look forward to meeting you, Miss Layla Fiona. xo
I have to say, I am very happy to see that so many of the ladies have decided to be happy with who they are and love the skin they are in despite the negativity around them. However, wearing your hair natural or with hair extensions is none of my business, and it shouldn’t be any one elses. I can wear my hair natural or with weave, and be perfectly happy either way. I don’t really give a hoot what anyone else may think of how I wear my hair, or if they believe you may have self esteem issues because you wear weave and not your natural hair. That’s not it at all.. I just like what I like, and I love to be versatile in my looks.
On another note.. When I do wear my weave, I only have one brand that I stick to, and believe in and have faith in their company… I am a true fan of Tresses by Kari ! Not only am I the Public Relations Brand Ambassador for Tresses by Kari, but I also have worn many other brands before and no one else has compared. I am a professional hair model for wig companies and hair salons, and I truly believe that Tresses by Kari is by far one of the best brands to date.
This brand is not like every other hair company that is looking to make a quick buck. This brand is celebrity endorsed, and helps out local talent as well by donating, and sponsoring pageant queens, models, singers, and more. Tresses by Kari has extremely soft hair that can last years thru washes, color dyes, and styling. I have used Tresses by Kari in all of my shoots, and pageant apperances and even the national stage when competing and months later, I am still able to use the same hair.
Oh Hey, Hi, Hello… My name is Heather J and I am an amateur blogger. Fashion Blogger? Maternity Fashion Blogger? Not sure what to call it yet but I like to do product reviews, showcase awesome fashion companies, hair products and spot light other awesome people that work hard! I may be new to the blogging world, but I love to take pictures and write about how much I love a product, or possibly dislike a product that just isn’t for me.
A little about me..
I am a wife to an amazing husband and yes we are newlyweds but have been together almost 7 years. We are proud parents to a 14 week old pure bred siberian husky named, Meeka and a 5 year old cat named, Otis. We are kitten foster parents for Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, and have fostered over 100 kittens through out the past few years. Although we love our beautiful four legged son and daughter, we are welcoming a beautiful little human princess very soon!!
Miss Layla Fiona will make her debut in April of 2016.
Because of this awesome little human coming into our lives, I have decided to document my maternity experience. I have been approached to become a maternity fashion blogger for some amazing companies, and I look forward to blogging and sharing my experiences of pregnancy and fashion with you all!
Besides my personal life being overwhelmingly fun and exciting.. I also had the opportunity to become a published model, actress, known brand ambassador and pageant queen. However, I’ll save the professional portfolio and pageant experience for another blog post. 🙂
Thank you for taking the time out to read my very first blog post, and I look forward to sharing with you all my journey of pregnancy, maternity fashion, and just some fun posts about life!
